The MA4M series MNS (metal nitride silicon) silicon chip capacitors of M/A-COM are specifically designed for high reliability and repeatability in microwave circuit applications. These capacitors are manufactured using low-pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD), which can form a dense and uniform nitride layer. These capacitors exhibit higher unit area capacitance compared to similar MOS, MIS and ceramic capacitors (resulting in smaller chip size). Evaporated gold contacts are used to provide easily adhered metal pads on the capacitor chip. M/A-COM MNS capacitors show no measurable capacitance change at the rated isolation voltage of 150ºC. The MA4M series surface-mount capacitors are the best choice for mixed microwave circuits above the Ku band, which mainly consider low loss, high reliability, small size and temperature stability. These surface-mount capacitors are suitable for applications requiring DC modules, coupling capacitors, bypass capacitors, capacitor loads and tuning elements in oscillators, multipliers and filters.
