The Qorvo QPM5811 0.5W GaAs (gallium arsenide) MMIC front-end module (FEM) is optimized for X-band radar applications within the frequency range of 8.5GHz to 10.5GHz. The QPM5811 integrates the transmit/receive switch, low-noise amplifier, and power amplifier in a single package. Its receiving path offers 26dB gain and a low noise figure of 2.0dB. Its transmitting path provides 30dB small-signal gain. This device can deliver a saturated power of 0.5W, a 45% power-added efficiency (PAE), and a 23.5dB large-signal gain.
The Qorvo QPM5811 front-end module adopts a 6.0mm x 6.0mm surface-mount QFN package, with a molded packaging and a high thermal conductivity chip connection process. This package enables the device to maintain excellent performance in high-temperature environments. It is compact in size and can meet the tight lattice spacing requirements needed for X-band phased array radar applications.
